    Position Overview:

    Sol Source Power is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Counsel to join our team. The General Counsel will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and guidance to the company's executive team as well as ensuring that all legal matters and contracts are handled effectively and efficiently. This position will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth and success in the rapidly evolving solar energy industry.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide legal counsel and guidance to the executive team relevant to a growing solar development company on a wide range of legal issues, including but not limited to corporate governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and litigation.

    Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements and contracts, including project development agreements, membership interest purchase agreements, power purchase agreements, construction contracts, financing agreements, and lease and easement agreements.

    Collaborate with internal teams, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure that legal risks are identified and addressed in a timely manner.

    Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

    Handle disputes, claims, and litigation matters as needed, including managing outside counsel and representing the company in legal proceedings.

    Assist with corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and financing activities, as necessary.

    Manage LLC (Project Company) creation and maintenance process.

    As the legal team expands, take a proactive role in hiring, training, and mentoring junior legal staff to support the company's legal needs.

    Qualifications:

    Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one state bar.

    Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate and commercial transactions, preferably in the energy or renewable energy industry.

    Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice and counsel to senior executives and managing complex legal matters.

    Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, real estate law, environmental law, and other relevant areas of law.

    Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and balance legal risks with business objectives.

    Experience managing outside counsel and other legal service providers.

    Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage legal operations and build a legal team.

    Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and promoting a culture of compliance and integrity within the organization.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with construction permanent debt, tax equity financing structures, and renewable energy incentives.

    Familiarity with state and federal regulatory frameworks governing the solar energy industry.

  • Civil Engineer - Northeast/Midwest

    Position Overview:

    Sol Source Power is looking to hire a high performing, self driven Civil Engineering leader who will manage all our civil operations (mostly external subcontractors) for project development around the states of Illinois and New York.

    Responsibilities:

    Interface closely with development, engineering and construction teams

    Support business development and operations by preparing design calculations and engineering drawings (or having them prepared by an outside consulting firm)

    Lead or participate in project meetings and conference calls

    Provide verbal and written project status updates and reports

    Ensure final documentation is accurate and complete for all project work and permit filing

    Qualifications:

    Minimum 10 years of design and engineering experience in land development. PV background is a plus!

    PE License highly preferred

    Min 8 years design/drafting experience for land development, Civil 3D experience required

    Site feasibility evaluations and assessments, and constructibility evaluation

    Familiarity with the site development process and permitting requirements.

    Individual proficient in Hydrology, Stormwater Management Software preferred.

    Proficiency in MS Office suite, databases and other disciplines related design programs such as, CAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    Additional Qualifications:

    Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction

    Ability to perform standard civil engineering discipline mathematical calculations and equations, including but not limited to geotechnical analysis, Hydrology & Hydraulic calculations, wind analysis, site development drawings etc.

    Design/drafting experienced in land development design/drafting in Civil 3D 2007 required

    Ability to effectively direct and manage detailed civil design work performed by outside consultants.

  • Interconnection Manager

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Interconnection Manager to join our team. The Interconnection Manager will play a crucial role in facilitating the interconnection process for our solar projects & energy storage projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, interfacing with utility representatives, project managing the pipeline and optimizing project timelines and costs.

    Responsibilities:

    Manage the interconnection process for solar & SAS projects from initial application to final approval, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and utility requirements.

    Develop and maintain strong working relationships with utility companies, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders involved in the interconnection process.

    Coordinate with engineering, legal, and project management teams to gather necessary documentation, conduct feasibility studies, and resolve any interconnection-related issues.

    Prepare and submit interconnection applications, agreements, and supporting documents in a timely and accurate manner.

    Monitor project timelines and milestones, proactively identifying and addressing any obstacles or delays in the interconnection process.

    Stay informed about changes in interconnection regulations, policies, and procedures, and advise internal teams accordingly.

    Collaborate with external consultants and experts as needed to optimize interconnection strategies and mitigate risks.

    Qualifications:

  • Junior Project Developer - Midwest

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a Junior Project Developer to be a key player in the development of Solar PV projects in the state of Illinois. The job includes supporting tasks, starting with research and cold acquisition of potential land for lease, initial contact with landowners, presentation of the project idea to local community representatives, research involving utility companies and interconnection capacity.

    Responsibilities:

    Reporting to Lead Midwest Project Developer

    Support and directly manage the development of projects across the Midwest as a key member of a team

    Work with the Origination, Engineering, Design and Project Finance teams

    Review initial project proposals and siting, as well as local bylaws

    Generate initial site design, and understand interconnection challenges

    Identify, propose, and implement creative or alternative project development approaches

    Communication and participation in negotiations with landowners to discuss investment and realization possibilities.

    Ad-hoc support within the development team as well as responding to requests for proposals or their preparation

    Work with internal and external land specialist(s) to pursue site control. Meet and negotiate with potential project landowners to acquire site control and to provide project information and support when needed

    Optimize development schedules

    Manage due diligence on development, including comparison and prioritization of multiple opportunities based on common siting, permitting, interconnection, power-marketing and other project metrics

    Qualifications:

    Flexible and pragmatic disposition, high self-motivation, curiosity and interest in working in a varied environment

    Initial experience or understanding of solar PV
